COMMON GAMEPLAY QUESTIONS

Bubble Twins/Two Customers at once - Some customers will arrive in pairs. Paired customers function as a new single customer with a double speech bubble. When twins appear and order together, they will each need to be served their cake order, NOT a combined order.

Calendar Timer - This is how time is counted in Cake Mania 2, not by using a clock. Each level lasts one month.

TV Set - To change channels, you must press one of the 4 buttons along the edges of the TV. Televisions have four buttons for four different channels. Each channel affects a different set of customers.

Channel 1: Serious News - Everyone likes serious news. Well, everyone who cares about current events and things going on in the world.

Channel 2: Fun Music Videos - Fun music videos are fun. I remember when there were channels devoted to music videos.

Channel 3: Gentle Nature - This calms customers down, much like the guy with happy brush strokes and billowy clouds.

Channel 4: Weird Astrology - A channel devoted to astrology? Well, at least it gives customers something to talk about in line.

BASICS

Customers begin with a bubble with a Menu picture inside. They do not order a cake until they have been given a menu by Jill.

Customers that have been delivered a menu will deliberate for a short time before choosing their order. During this period their speech bubble has an animated Question Mark inside it.

Customers eventually show the image of their cake order inside the speech bubble.

Customer satisfaction is measured by displaying hearts at the edge of their speech bubble. Hearts disappear over time, but can be replenished by other factors (customers, treats, television shows, etc.). The more hearts they have when their cake is finally delivered, the larger a tip that will be left for Jill. Certain customers will have an effect on others, such as reducing their hearts more quickly, or even increasing their hearts upon arrival.

Some customers will arrive in pairs. Paired customers function as a new single customer with a double speech bubble.

Customers enter at regular intervals throughout the level. Jill gives them menus, after which they decide on what kind of cake they would like. Jill bakes the cake, frosts it, then decorates or stacks the cake as desired, before serving it to the customer. She can only hold one cake at a time, but her off hand can still be used to deliver menus or operate machinery.

CAKES

Jill's signature item is her delicious cake. In Cake Mania 2, there are 10 different cakes customers can order. Here is a list of the cake designs, along with the 6 different frostings that go with them.

Circle - A basic, round, traditional cake. Perfect for every occasion.
Chocolate - A classic frosting that everyone can agree on.
White - There are chocolate fans, and then there are vanilla fans. Which are you?
Red - When you want your cake to stand out, only red will do.
Purple - If it's good enough for royalty, it's good enough for anyone.
Sprinkles - Make any cake more festive with colorful sprinkles...
Caramel Ripple - Creamy, pale yellow frosting with a hint of thin gold diagonal waves...

In addition to circle cakes, there are many more shapes that Jill offers in her bakery.

Fish - A fish cake? Will it taste like fish? Who knows...

Flower - Perfect for flowery situations.

Heart - When love and pastry collide, the result is a heart cake.

Leaf - A huge tree cake needs smaller leaf cakes to fill it out.

Moon - Here is proof that the moon isn't made of cheese, it's made of flour and sugar.

Gear - Because guys in garages working with gears love cake too.

Rectangle - Another simple, understated classic. It goes with everything.

Star - Perfect for football Sunday watching a certain team from Texas!

BASIC KITCHEN ITEMS

Oven - The classic oven that hasn't changed much since Gran and Grampa's day. A slow but steady standard in the bakery.

Money - After all, when it comes right down to it, money is what makes the world go 'round. Jill is living in a material world, and she is a material bakery worker.

Tips: The more hearts, the bigger the tip. Jill can either pick up tips off the counter, or leave that slot filled in order to reduce her customer traffic.

Trash - For those special times when a cake has seen better days, there's always the trash can. The trash will never turn down a cake, no matter how old, burned, or mistakenly made it is. Oh trash, will you ever tire of eating delicious baked goods.

AREAS

Here are the various locales that Jill will travel to in her adventure.

Antarctica - This research outpost examines the lifestyles and habitats of the local wildlife, especially penguins. Many scientists find their work improves when they are fueled by warm cakes fresh from the oven of the outpost's bakery. The makeshift bakery itself is always a little frosty and dirty - it's hard to stay organized when there's important work to be done.

Future - This bizarre bakery is apparently hundreds of years in the future! People are coming from all over, dressed in replica outfits of the day, to experience this long-forgotten delicacy early humans called "cake". Apparently you put it in your mouth and "chew" it for the nutrients you normally absorb through your daily meal pill. How quaint!

Game Show - The outrageous new game show from Japan is called Cake Doing! Contestants from around the world come to compete for fame and fortune - baking cakes for a long and varied stream of hungry judges. The bright lights, gleaming counters, and unfinished carpentry of the studio set is custom-made for the TV cameras.

High Rise - This bakery is on a hotel rooftop. It's open only at night and has a great view of the city lights. It is very upscale, with velvet ropes, potted trees, soft lighting, and floor-lit paths. Local celebrities like to think of this bakery as their little secret store and hangout, but its incredible treats (and service) make it more popular everyday! Owned by one of Jill's best friends.

Moon - This top-secret government base is state-of-the-art , if a bit lacking in down-home comfort. All kinds of personnel can be encountered in the official bakery, including some intergalactic visitors! Some customers are looking for a little taste of home to keep up their spirits, while others are looking for exotic Earthly souvenirs to bring back across the stars!

Underwater - The new Great Barrier Reef aquarium is underwater! It's an incredible new tourist attraction complete with its own bakery. Glass walls allow visitors to experience sea life all around them as they enjoy the amenities. The colorful décor is fun for the whole family and it's run by Jill's old school pal Jack, who has a crush on Jill.
