This page introduces the Life Tree, Reminder, and some other functions of to-do list, which will help you to make a better use of TimeGolden.

Life Tree
The essence of Life Tree is mind mapping, or you can call it "super inbox" in the form of tree structure. It displays your activities in drill-down columns with the grey subtitle(e.g. 3h:26m) under each task indicating its accumulative executive time.
The manipulation of Life Tree has two different modes: browsing mode and organization mode.
Browsing mode is used to arrange to-do list,
The icon on the left side of the task indicates the current status of the task:
- The green feet
indicates that the task has been on the to-do list, and not finished yet.
- The yellow tick
indicates that the task has been on the to-do list, and has been accomplished
- The white feet indicates that the task has not been on the to-do list.
You can tap these three icons to fulfill these functions: remove the task from your to-do list, undo the done status, and put the task on the to-do list.

Tapping the middle part of the task(not the icon on the left or right) will lead to your Life Tree.
- If the task has a yellowish background, it means that it is a "branch", tapping it you will get into next layer---more detailed tasks.
- If the task has a greenish background, it means that this is a "leaf"--- no further layers exist.
You can swipe right to return to the former layer. The icon
in the top middle is used to speed up the browsing, Root for returning to the top layer and Plan retrieving to the homepage of Plan.
Tap the icon
on the right side of a task will get you into edit page, which is used to edit properties of tasks.

Instructions of the properties:
- Due Date:you can set a due date for certain tasks. After you set a due date, the task will appear on the to-do list timely automatically.
will appear on the left side of the task when the due date comes, and
means overdue.
- Repeat: you can set your tasks to be done daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. When a new day arrives, those accomplished tasks on the to-do list will be removed, and new tasks set in Due Date or Repeat(if there is any) will appear on the to-do list automatically at the same time.
- Context: you can store the current status, environment, situation etc.
- Priority: you can set priority for your tasks, with the smaller the digital is, the more prior the task will be.
- Note: the note for your task.
- Firewall: you can set those things that you want to do but not decided yet here. Such kind of task is relatively "independent", For example : the "buy" has a subtask named "buy a new iphone". If the "buy a new iphone" turn on "Firewall", it will not appear on the to-do list when you select "buy". Only when you select "buy a new iphone" directly, will it be on the to-do list.
- Export new TimeLog: the new timelogs of this task will export to iOS calendar.
- Quick decision: It's a sort of "decision maker",please refere to Help => More.
- Time per activity: you can set a duration for certain tasks(e.g. study: 30 min). You can not accomplish your task without meeting the duration. Even if you try to tap "done", you will be told that the time is not up. The color of the task's subtitle will tell if you have met the time standard: faint blue(e.g. Spent 25m) means below-standard, blue(e.g. Spent 40m) means accomplished.
- Reminder Time: you can set a reminder for certain tasks. for example, you can set a reminder for "sleep" at 22:00.
The most difficult part in the time-tracing lies in the recording of the logs on time, which can be solved by the TimeStamp+Reminder used in Timegolden.
Two ways to set your Reminder:
- Regular: set a fixed interval to remind. Meanwhile, you can also set "Do Not Disturb" for certain hours as to ensure your rest time.
- Tomato: The Tomato Technique finds you a balance between work and rest.
Note: To avoid annoying you in some wrong time, Reminder will cease function if it gets no response from three reminders sequentially until you run the TimeGolden again.
