Getting Started

Minecraft Reality

The basic idea of Minecraft Reality is to enable you to take your Minecraft creations into the real world, and place them in the real world, with centimeter precision.

Getting Started

When you first use Minecraft Reality, start by placing a creation against something small and flat with lots of visual details, for example a magazine.

When you get a hang of it, try bigger scenes, for example a wall or big outdoor areas like the facade of a house.

Placing Creations

When you have found a creation you want to place in the real world, start by clicking the "Place" button.

Point the camera at the area where you want to place the creation. Make sure there are lots of visual details.

Tap the screen to start. Now slowly move the device left and right and in and out until the creation shows up in view. If you are looking at something close by, you'll only need to move the device a little bit. If you are looking at something farther away you'll need to move the device more, maybe even walk a few steps left and right and in and out.

To position and scale the creation, use one finger to move it, or 2 fingers to scale or rotate it. You can also share screenshots from here to Facebook, Twitter etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

The current version of the app works with a limited set of creations only.
How do I upload my own creations?
This is not possible anymore. The current version of the app works with a limited set of creations only.
