How to use

  • Desktop Icon Toy is easy to use, and most of the features can be accessed from the tray menu. The simplest way is point to each menu item to see the detailed help.


Tips

  • If you want to arrange icons by youself, you can use:
    • "CTRL" + "Arrow Key", which moves an individual icon in that direction by one pixel.
    • "ALT" + "Arrow Key", which moves an individual icon in that direction by ten pixels.
    • Select option "Align to grid when icons moved or added" to arrange icons to grid.
  • When "Lock Icon" feature is enabled, you can hold down the "Space" key to temporarily disable the lock feature to move the icons.
  • When you drag and drop desktop icons to make them run around the desktop, you can double click the desktop to stop the running icons.
  • When you want to customize the icon tooltip, you can also embed the HTML tag in the tooltip.
