[General Issue]
- If intensive (or bookbinding) printing of the direction mixture data is carried out, direction or scaling of the figure in a document may not be printed correctly.
- When you carry out bookbinding printing, there are the following restrictions.
- If you choose "Auto tray select" as input tray in the driver setting screen, bypass tray is the outside for search.
- If you specify input tray in the driver setting screen, your print job is reset and printing is interrupted.
- In the environment to which the computer name is set by 16 bytes or more, the host name with banner page print is printed only up to 15 bytes.
- If you check "Choose paper source by PDF paper size" function of Adobe Reader, "Layout" function may not be operated normally. In that case, This can be prevented by enabling the application's "Print As Image" function.
- In the case of specific application, only one part will be printed even if the combination of post-processing features and number of copies by from the driver set of multiple.
Post-processing capability refers to the following items.
- Staple
- Punch
- Fold
- Sort
- Perfect Binding
- Layout and Booklet etc.
The example of specific application : Microsoft Office
- When you print a Booklet (or the Layout) and Mirroring combined printing result is specified direction and may open the reverse.
- Use of the "Edge to Edge Print" function with the Layout function might result in page contents being slightly larger than normal.
- The following problems might occur if you print using a custom paper size:
- A document where the maximum or minimum paper size is specified cannot be printed.
- Size mismatch
[OS/Windows Related Issues]
- The driver's "Web Image Monitor" button might not work in an IPv6 environment.
[Driver Setting Related Issues]
- Stamp might not be printed when using the following applications:
- When printing from Adobe InDesign, border lines might be printed around an object that overlaps a black-colored object. A workaround for this issue is to save the document as a PDF file, open the file with Adobe Reader and print it using "Print as image".
- The number of copies setting of the printer driver might not work as expected when printing the following applications:
- Adobe Reader
- Adobe Acrobat
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
Workaround:
Set the number of copies in application.
- If the Staple setting is "2 at Center" or if the "Reverse Order"setting is On, the driver will add an extra page to the end of odd-paged duplex jobs. The added page will be incremented in the printer's counter. There is no way to prevent this.
- Use of the "Stamp" or "Page Order" functions with some applications, e.g. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, might produce unexpected results. Use of the application's "Print as Image" function is recommended to overcome difficulties with the these functions.
- In the case of specific application, a stamp not be printed.
The example of specific application : Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW
[Printing Issues]
- Depending on the combination of text and font settings for watermark, text might not be printed.
In such case, a change of font is recommended.
[B/W print with CMYK setting Issue]
- If the "Color/ Black and White" setting is "Color" some purely BW objects might be printed using CMYK toners (composite black). If the "Color/ Black and White" setting = "Black and White", all objects will be printed using K toner (pure black) only.
[Matching with the Printer/MFP]
- Some applications add an extra page to the end of odd-paged duplex jobs. The added page might be incremented in the printer's counter. To prevent such pages from being counted, please turn the device's "Blank Page Print" function off.
- The printing of a document with a filename consisting of 2-byte or extended ASCII characters, might result in the filename not being properly displayed in the operation panel.
