Create/Edit Cube: Aggregation Precomputes

The precompute settings identify a method for determining which values are precalculated and stored in an unpartitioned cube during data maintenance, and which values are calculated on demand in response to a query.

Note:

Skip this panel if you are partitioning the cube. Cubes are partitioned by default.

Cost-Based Aggregation: Allows the OLAP engine to identify the most cost-effective areas of the data for precalculation, based on the specified percentage. The default value is 40%.

Level-Based Aggregation: For each dimension, select the levels that you want to precalculate.
