Create Filter Columns Node

To define a filter columns, you must identify a data source; you must also decide if you want to find important attributes.

  1. Identify or create the node to filter. The node can be any node that provides a data flow, including Data Source Nodes.

  2. If the Component window is not open, open it using View > Components. Expand the Transforms section.

  3. Click Filter Columns. Move the cursor to the workflow; click again.

  4. Connect the data source to the Filter Columns node:

    1. Right-click the data source node, and select Connect from the context menu.

    2. Draw a line to the Filter Columns node; click again.

  5. Right-click the filter columns node; select Edit. Use the Edit Filter Columns Node dialog to define the filters.

  6. Right-click the Filter Columns node; select Run. Monitor the node execution in the Workflow Jobs. If the Workflow Jobs is not open, open it using View >Data Miner>Workflow Jobs.

  7. After the execution completes, right-click the Filter Columns node and select View Data to view the results of the filter columns.

After you examine the hints, you may want to filter out additional columns.
