When a you select a workflow editor, a Thumbnail dockable window displays a birds-eye view of the entire workflow. Thumbnails are most useful for large workflows.
To open the tumbnail viewer, select Window > Thumbnail from the menu bar.
The Thumbnail View displays a representation of the current workflow to allow quick navigation to a specific node in the workflow, change which nodes of the current workflow are viewed, or to change the zoom level of the workflow.
The Thumbnail viewer displays a birds-eye-view of the workflow. The view includes a rectangle. Left-click the mouse within the viewer to move the rectangle around thereby affecting what is displayed within the workflow editor. You can also resize the rectangle to allow for a finer level of control.

When you view models that generate tress Thumbnail View automatically opens to provide a birds eye view to show the overall shape of the tree; the thumbnail view also shows you where you are in the overall model view.
