Create Fact View with Measure Dimension

Use this dialog box to create a view that pivots a fact table so that the measures identify rows instead of columns.

Source: A fact table, view, or synonym that contains the measures to be listed in a measure dimension. Click the Select Source button to locate the object.

Select Source: Displays the Source Selection dialog box, which you use to identify a fact table.

Fact View Name: The name of the new view.

Select the Measure Columns to Include in the Fact View: This table describes the columns in the selected object. Under Measure Column, select the columns that contain the facts. Facts typically have a NUMBER data type, whereas the key columns are typically VARCHAR2.

Fact View SQL: Displays the SQL statement that will be executed to create or replace the fact view.

Create Measure Dimension Table: Select this option to create the measure dimension. If you already have a table you can use, then deselect the option.

Table: The name of the measure dimension table.

Measure Dimension Table SQL: Displays the SQL statement that will be used to create the measure dimension table.
