Use this panel to identify the data sources for the cube. The panel has two subpages:
The Query Builder subpage identifies the mappable cube objects and their relational data sources.
The Query Builder provides the following tools:

Sources: The name of a table, view, or synonym that contains the facts or foreign keys. The source for a cube is typically a fact table in a star or snowflake schema. Click the Select Sources button for a list of available sources.
Select Sources: Displays the Source Selection dialog box, which you use to identify the source columns.
Aggregate Measure Using: Select an aggregation method:
SUM
: Calculates a total from the child members.
MIN
: Returns the smallest value from the child members.
MAX
: Returns the largest value from the child members.
AVG
: Calculates the average from the child members.
SELECT List: Identifies the relational source for each cube object:
Source Column: Identifies a column in a table, view, or synonym that provides the values for a measure or cube dimension. Click Select Sources to identify the source columns.
Into Dimension or Cube Object: Lists the cube objects that require mapping. This column is populated automatically. The facts are copied into the cube and aggregated. The foreign keys are used to align the facts with the correct dimension members.
Join Clause: Identifies the relationship between the dimension values in the fact table and the dimension values in the dimension tables. Click a field for a list of available columns.
Fact Table Column: Identifies the columns in the source fact table that contains foreign keys to the dimension tables.
Dimension Table Column: Identifies the key columns in the dimension tables that relate to the foreign keys in the fact table.
WHERE Clause: Enter a WHERE
clause if the fact table contains more data than you want to store in the cube.
