The graphical user interface (GUI) for Data Miner is based on the GUI for SQL Developer 4.0. For an overview of the SQL Developer GUI, see "SQL Developer User Interface" in Help > SQL Developer Concepts and Usage.
The Oracle Data Miner window generally uses the left side for navigation to find and select objects, and the right side to display information about selected objects.
Note: This text explains the default interface. However, you can customize many aspects of the appearance and behavior of Data Miner by setting preferences as described in Data Miner Preferences. |
Here is a simple workflow:
The left side of the window includes
Data Miner Navigator that manages database connections
Workflow Jobs that displays status for running tasks.
The right side of the window displays the Components where you select the nodes of the workflow.
At the top of the window is the menus bar; see Oracle Data Miner Functionality in the Menu Bar.
Workflows are displayed in the middle of the window.
You can position Properties any place that you want to place it. It is useful to position Properties just below the workflow that you are viewing.
Some settings are sticky settings. If you change a sticky setting, the new value becomes the default.
