Edit Apply Text Node

The Edit Apply Text Node dialog allows you to view the text transformations performed on the Build data. The Apply data must be prepared in the same way as the Build data.

To launch Edit Apply Text Node, right-click the Apply Text node and select Edit or just double-click the node.

The Apply Text dialog has two panes. At the top of the pane you can specify an optional Case ID or you can view the Stoplist; see Stoplist Editor for details.

The top pane provides a list of attributes. You can view either All attributes or just Text and Transformed attributes only. For each attribute, Name, Type, Source, Type, and Output. Type is the data type of the attribute; the type of an attribute that has a text transform applied is DM_NESTED_NUMERICALS. Source is the source column for a transformed column. Transform is the type of text transform, Token or Theme. Output indicates if the attribute is passed on to subsequent nodes. The default is to pass all nodes on.

To view the definition of a text transform, select a transformed attribute and launch the Add/Edit Text Transform dialog by clicking edit text transform

You can include or exclude attributes. An excluded attribute is not passed to subsequent operations. To exclude an attribute, select it and in the Output column of the grid, click pass column to next node
The icon changes to ignore column
, and the column is not passed on; if you click this icon again, the attribute is included. You may want to exclude the non-transformed version of a text column.

You can View the Text Transform (Apply).

To view the stoplist, select a transformed column and click View Stoplist. The Stoplist Editor launches. You can view the items in the stoplist.
