The analytic functions provide templates for all of the predefined calculations that you can perform on your data, such as Prior Period, Period-to-Date, Rank, and Share. Expand the tree and its subfolders to view them.
Snippets are code fragments. There is one snippet for the CASE
statement in the OLAP expression syntax, which is the language you use to define calculated measures.
To copy a calculation or a snippet to the code editing window, do one of the following:
Drag-and-drop the calculation to where you want it to appear.
Double-click the calculation to insert it at the current cursor location.
Select all or part of the current contents of the code editing window, then double-click the calculation to wrap it around the selection.
