Follow these steps to create a user account:
Start SQL Developer and open the Administrative connection defined in Create an Administrative Database Connection; scroll down to Other Users.
Right-click Other Users and select Create User.
Specify username, password, default tablespace, and temporary tablespace.
You can specify any appropriate username.
For detailed information about creating users, see Oracle Database Administrator's Guide if you are connecting to Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) or Oracle Database Security Guide if you are connecting to Oracle Database 12g Release 1 (12.1).
Click the Granted Roles tab and click the check box to grant Connect.
Click the Quotas tab and click the check box to set tablespace to unlimited (for the default tablespace).
Click Apply to create the account.
You must create a database connection for the account and then add the connection to the Data Miner navigator, as described in Connections for Data Mining.
If the repository is not yet installed, go directly to Install the Data Miner Repository Using the GUI. The installation process grants the privileges to the user. If you Install the Repository Using Scripts, you must grant privileges explicitly.
If the repository is already installed, you must grant privileges explicitly if you use scripts. You can also grant rights using the GUI if you open a connection to the account in the Data Miner Navigator.
Follow these steps to create additional users, if you wish.
