The precompute settings identify a method for determining which values are precalculated and stored in an unpartitioned cube during data maintenance, and which values are calculated on demand in response to a query.
Note: Skip this panel if you are partitioning the cube. Cubes are partitioned by default. |
Cost-Based Aggregation: Allows the OLAP engine to identify the most cost-effective areas of the data for precalculation, based on the specified percentage. The default value is 40%.
Level-Based Aggregation: For each dimension, select the levels that you want to precalculate.
Choose the levels of the cube to be aggregated and stored:
Dimensions: Select a dimension to aggregate and store all its levels.
Levels: Select individual levels to aggregate and store.
