EIF files are specially formatted files that can be used to copy analytic workspaces across database versions and platforms. They can also be used for backup. They contain both object definitions and data. EIF files do not contain information about cube materialized views or object security.
Import From
Directory: Select a directory from the list of database directories to which you have access rights. Contact your DBA for information about database directories that are defined for your use.
File Name: Type in the full name of the source EIF file. The file must be located in the physical directory mapped to the selected database directory.
Create Analytic Workspace and Import To
Name: The name of the new analytic workspace.
Tablespace: The name of the tablespace in which the new analytic workspace will be stored.
