Check the system requirements.
Minimum system
- CPU: 1GHz Pentium III or equivalent
- RAM: 256MB
- Video Card: OpenGL 1.3 compatible 32MB AGP with hardware T&L
- Hard Disk: 300MB free space
- Operating System: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP with DirectX 8 installed
Recommended system
- CPU: 1.5GHz Pentium IV or equivalent
- RAM: 512MB
- Video Card: OpenGL 1.5 compatible 128MB PCI Express with hardware T&L
- Hard Disk: 300MB free space
- Operating System: Windows XP with DirectX 9 installed
- Optional: DirectX 8 compatible soundcard
- Optional: DirectX 8 compatible gamepad or steering wheel

Install the game
To install the game, put the original CD into CD-ROM drive of your computer. The installation program will run, and will guide you through the installation of the game on your machine.
In case the installation program did not run automatically (you have the AutoRun feature disabled), you will need to run it manually off the CD:
- Open the Windows Start menu (click
Start
button). - Choose the
Run
item. - Type
D:\setup.exe
(instead ofD
, use the letter associated with your CD-ROM drive).
The game requires that DirectX 9 is installed on your system. If DirectX 9 is not installed, follow the guidance of installation program, and install DirectX 9.
Upon successful installation, you are ready to start the game, and enter the realm of bus driving.

You can start the game by activating the
Bus Driver
icon placed on your desktop, or going through the Windows Start menu:Start
->Programs
->Bus Driver
->Play Bus Driver
.For advanced users and for troubleshooting, the game launcher contains configuration options. Unless you encounter issues with hardware which is not fully-compliant, you should leave all values on their defaults, and just start the main game.
