The Sleep Mode (or Power Save Mode) setting can reduce power consumption. Select how long the machine must be idle before it goes into Sleep Mode. The Sleep Mode timer is reset when the machine receives a print job.
If the machine is in Sleep Mode and does not receive any jobs for certain length of time, based on your model and settings, the machine will automatically enter Deep Sleep Mode.
If the machine is in Deep Sleep Mode for certain length of time, based on your model and settings, the machine will go into Power Off Mode automatically. The machine does not go into Power Off Mode when the machine is connected to a network.
Turn on Continue Mode to force the machine to continue printing even if the control panel indicates that it is time to replace the toner cartridge. When the Replace Toner error message is active, you cannot turn this mode on unless you change the toner cartridge.
