Special Settings for Functions
In the application
property window, you can make some special settings for the different functions
provided by ScanButton. These functions are Scan
to File, Scan to Printer/FAX and Scan to Mail.
Special Settings for "Scan to File"
Click the item "Scan
to File" in the application
property window, you will see a button
on
the right. Click on the button and a "File Save Setting" dialogue
box will pop up:
Here you can:
1. Choose a default
folder to save the scanned image file. Click on the
radio button and then the
button to select a location, or click on the
radio button to always save the scanned image to the last folder you saved to
before you exit ScanButton.
2. Choose a default
scanned image file format. To use a fixed file type, click on the
radio button, and then click to choose a file type to use in the
drop-down listbox. Or, you can always use the file type you last used by clicking
on the
radio
button.
3. Choose a default
position for the "Save as" dialogue box that will appear on the screen
when "Scan to File" function is selected. Click the
radio button to let the dialogue box appear where the last time it poped up.
To let the dialogue box appear right to the center of the screen, click on the
radio button.
Special Settings for "Scan
to Printer/FAX"
Click the item "Scan to Printer" or "Scan to FAX" in the application
property window, you will see a
button
on the right. Click the button, you can make some settings for the printer or FAX used in ScanButton.
Special Settings for "Scan to Mail"
Click the item "Scan to Mail" in the application property window, you will get a dialog on the right which is shown as below:
If you select the image type, ScanButton will send the scanned image to the mail
application as attached files in BMP or JPG format
according to your settings for Image Type.
(JPG format doesn't support Line Art)
If you select the text type, ScanButton will send the scanned image to the
OCR Application -- FineReader. Then
FineReader will recognize the text from the scanned image and
sent the text to the mail application. The available formats are TXT,
RTF .
